No more Blind Lifts
With the OSS system, every deck, around every corner and behind every wall is no longer blind – allowing the operator to view exactly where the load needs to be landed. It also provides the ability to safely control loads in places that would normally be obstructed from view. Even if wind is pushing the load, or a swing has been generated, the operator is able to see and respond accordingly.
-
Load Safety
The OSS system eliminates a variety of concerning factors when it comes to blind lifts. Not only is the load visible, but also all surrounding areas up to 20m around the load and hook block are now visible as well. This gives the operator the distinct advantage of being able to see how close the load, block or ropes are to surrounding objects, windows or anything that may be near the landing zone.

Stress & Communication Aid
Although 2-way radios should always be the primary source of communication between a crane operator and rigger during blind lifts, they are not without flaws. From batteries going flat, to accidental channel changing, the OSS system can aid by showing visual hand signals from the rigger to the operator. In addition, this greatly reduces operator stress.
What We Do
The Onsite Surveillance system works by highlighting and eliminating risk factors involved in tower crane operations and high-rise constructions. Even at 150m, the OSS system is still able to provide the crane operator with a clear, unobstructed view of the load, the landing platforms and all surrounding areas that would otherwise be in a blind location.

Why Onsite Surveillance systems are an integral part of the construction industry
In this illustration, the operators line of sight is obstructed by the building. This type of visual obstruction is a common occurrence on most construction sites in the high-rise industry. It is inevitable that platforms and/or lifts will be in blind locations, which when relying on a single form of communication as well as a single vision, can dramatically increase stress and impede work performance. The OSS system bypasses these obstacles by adding another form of visual communication and improving overall site safety.
